Apply now for aquaculture scholarships at St Andrews


The scholarships are being offered for the part-time, two-year distance learning MSc in sustainable aquaculture. They cover the tuition fees for the entire course, which starts in September 2024. Applicants must have a degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant scientific subject and live in one of the following low and middle income Commonwealth countries:

Bangladesh, Belize, Botswana, Cameroon, Dominica, Eswatini, Fiji, Gabon, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Montserrat, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Saint Helena, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, The Gambia, Togo, Tonga, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu
and Zambia.

The applications require a two-step process and must be completed by 28 March 2024. Interested candidates must first follow this link apply for a place on the course before applying for funding on the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) website.

The scholarships are funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and are intended for candidates from low and middle-income, eligible Commonwealth countries.
